Hello from Big Bear!

Well we survived another fire here in the forest. Amazing. The fire was actually across the lake from Big Bear on the Fawskin side and a mile or so away from that little burg. Everyone is safe and the valley shows no sign of damage. It looks like it always has. The good news is now we have a fire break on the northwest end of the valley. Look for the silver lining.

I got to see Knott’s Berry Farm through the eyes of my 4 year old son, Andrew. It was a wonderful day, the park was pretty empty so there were no lines at all. On some rides we just stayed on and went around again. We rode the Log Jamb about 5 times. Andrew got to meet Snoopy six or seven times. His new best friend. We also lunched at the Chicken joint. This was my first visit to this restaurant and I must say, it was real good. Fried chicken! Mmmm good. If you only go to the chicken joint it is well worth the trip. So Knott’s is 91 miles from Big Bear. It takes about 2 hours to get there. Not so bad.

Fall has arrived here in Big Bear (as well as the rest of the top of the world) and the streets are very quiet. The leaves are all changing and there is a nip in the air. Not freezing yet but getting down there. If you want peace and quiet now is the time to come and visit us. We are more than ready for you. You can make your reservation at www.MountainTimeResorts.com or call us at 909-866-4745 and we will hook you up over the phone. (hint…if you call I make deals, the longer the stay, the better the deal.)

See you on the mountain!
