My Word

Hello from Big Bear!

I guess it is too early to plant watermelon here in the Big Bear Valley. It got a little cold last night, 25 degrees, and my watermelon croaked. I feel bad, like I let the little guy down and did not take care of him. Starting over. I have alot of experience at starting over. Jobs, marriages, residences, pancakes,… you get the idea. So I will pick up another started plant today and give it another shot.

I have other agenda also with my trip down the hill. I am to pick up 20 bags of topsoil, 10 bags of manure, drop off my busted generator, and do a serve. By the time I am done riding around I will have covered about 200 miles at 15 miles per gallon in my Ford. That is around $54.00 of gas. The serve will pay $51.80. Almost worth it.

Hey don’t let the cost of gas deny you from getting up here and enjoying this great place. The fish are biting, the skies are as blue as you could imagine, and we’ll be glad to see you,  or not see you as you make your escape from the flatlands.

Have a safe trip and we’ll see you on the Mountain!

Tom
